TechCrunch has an interesting post about a site for young girls providing virtual paper dolls and accessories called stardoll.com. According to the article, most of the users are girls between 10-17 years of age. The site allows for diaries (blogs), sharing dolls, etc.
I think it’s really interesting that a “toy” as old as paper dolls has been taken into the digital world and embraced so strongly by an age group associated with the original paper doll.
